CRIPPS BARN WEDDING

It has been a while since I last shared some of my work on the blog. I wanted to share this lovely Cripps Barn wedding day, which was is one of my favourites! I always enjoy visiting the beautiful venues tucked away in the Cotswolds countryside; it never gets old. Daisy & Rhys planned a relaxed wedding day with their close family and friends, with an outdoor ceremony in the woodland next to the barn. They then celebrated the night away under a magnificent floral installation by Go Wild Flowers. SUMMER MARQUEE WEDDING AT HOME IN CHESHIRE

I first met Liberty and Stephen in north Wales when we met up for their couples session on the beach in Abersoch, I knew from meeting them back in the late summer of 2021 that their spring wedding was going to be a wedding photographers dream!
There really is no place like home, it’s no wonder Liberty & Stephen decided to host their summer marquee wedding at their parent’s house in the Cheshire countryside, a heartwarming day filled with so much love.

Now, let’s talk about Liberty’s gown. Ohhhh, it was a showstopper! She wore an exquisite Emma Beaumont creation that had us all swooning. Layers upon layers of tulle, delicate gathers, and whimsical ruffles — she looked an absolute vision.

After their heartfelt ceremony, it was time for the celebrations to begin. Liberty and Stephen opted for a relaxed celebration right at home, with a dazzling marquee set up for their guests.

The atmosphere was nothing short of enchanting as guests mingled over relaxed canapés and delicious drinks. Laughter filled the air, and you could just feel the love radiating from every corner.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we went for a little walk to capture some more portraits. The happy couple, surrounded by twinkling lights and the warm embrace of loved ones, danced the night away. It was a celebration to remember, filled with joy, laughter, and perhaps a few tears of happiness.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, fireworks lit up the sky, painting it with bursts of colour and adding an extra dash of magic to an already unforgettable day.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and the kind of magic that reminds us why we get married and why I choose to capture these special days.

A DELIGHTFUL SUMMER WEDDING AT PLAS DINAM, POWYS

Picture this: an outdoor wedding on a scorching July day. The sun beaming down, making everyone feel like they were melting faster than the ice in their drinks. It was so hot, even the flowers in the rustic, light filled stables were begging for a cool breeze. The scenic welsh views of Plas Dinam provided a stunning backdrop for Bella & Charlie’s outdoor ceremony, and the golden rays of the sun cast a warm and dreamy glow later in the evening. My favourite part of a summer wedding is chasing the light and taking full advantage of golden hour.

The real adventure started the evening before when we decided to take a hike up to a nearby lake for some wild swimming – because what’s a wedding without a little pre-wedding adrenaline rush, eh? Followed by a relaxed BBQ before starting those all important wedding preparations.

It may have been a scorcher, but it was a day filled with beauty and love that will be remembered forever.

RELAXED CLIFFTOP WEDDING ON THE COROMANDEL, NEW ZEALAND

Let’s cast our minds back to 2020, a year ago today to be exact, to this stunning wedding in New Zealand. Stuart and Nadine held their celebration at the Orua Beach House on the Coromadel Peninsula.

The whole weekend was amazing from start to finish, all their friends and family traveled from all over the globe to meet at this beautiful corner of the North Island. Nadine and her family are from Canada and Stuart from a little village near me, in Shropshire! Travelling brought these two together and they now call New Zealand their home with their two labradors, Bonkers & Dixie.

RELAXED, BOHO WEDDING AT HAFOD FARM, SNOWDONIA

A beautiful boho-inspired wedding at Hafod Farm in Snowdonia where Ellis & Josh hosted the most amazing, relaxed wedding in the Autumn sun. Ellis and her best friend Grace created, designed and collected everything to create a unique space for everyone to enjoy and they even sourced and arranged all the flowers!

Ellis looked stunning in her bespoke Emma Beaumont dress (that had pockets!) alongside Josh in his smart tuxedo.
An emotional candle lit ceremony in the barn where they exchanged personal vows, followed by a relaxed wedding breakfast and live music. Foliage, pampas and macrame dressed the venue perfectly which reflected their own personal style and individuality. Ellis even makes the macrame pieces to buy or hire, check out her work here, she’s one talented soul!

We went for a little adventure into the national park for some portraits before dancing the night away. North Wales, in particular snowdonia, is one of my favourite locations to shoot, the perfect backdrop for your wedding.

We weren’t that comfortable at the thought of ‘posing’ for photographs but Nesta made us feel so at ease on the day, most of the time we didn’t even notice she was there! Nesta is so friendly and warm, we felt like we had known her a lifetime and it was a friend documenting our day rather than a photographer.

The set of images we received were INCREDIBLE! There were so many more photos than we expected, every single one was beautiful. Nesta had such an incredible eye for capturing our day. Our friends, family and suppliers all raved about our photos.
